Facepalm moment today: I managed to EQ the M2 MacBook Air laptop speakers... using *the voice mic on my desk* as the input, not the cal mic that was actually pointed at the laptop!
Yes, somehow a random dynamic mic pointed away from the laptop and going through a bunch of processing for streaming/voice managed to capture a plausible-looking frequency response, enough that I didn't realize the fuckup. No wonder it sounded way off when I applied the EQ! 🤦♂️
At least this time I didn't melt the tweeters 😅
Thanks to @chadmed for walking me through this today and putting up with me wasting his time with this SNAFU.
