Three months into my career break and a couple of observations: 1) I thought I might eventually get bored. I absolutely have not. 2) Time flies. Fast. 3) I was concerned about becoming disconnected from people but in some ways the opposite is true as I’m so much more flexible that I can meet people where/when they are. 4) I am absolutely not ready to go back to work yet…
@brettk I don't think I've ever in my life been bored in a between job situation. Stressed out of my mind a few times but never bored or lacking things I could/should be doing, whether I was doing them or not lol.
@megmac Yup, that tracks! Honestly, my assumption was based on the fact that in the past, if I took a long vacation, by the end of it I was kinda antsy to get back to work as I enjoyed what I was doing. And maybe it's that last bit that's the key. Once that shine wore off, I had nothing to look forward to.
But now? Yeah... the bigger problem is *choosing*. Do I play one of the three games I have on the go? Do that house repair? Knit? Nap (oh... so many naps)...
