#GNOME Disks in #GTK4 #Libadwaita is just cute.
@NostalgicKitsune do you know if this will land in GNOME 48 ?
@NostalgicKitsune Rust porting process is still ongoing, right? I reached out to the maintainer to ask whether https://github.com/serpent-os/disks-rs will be helpful. They said GNOME Disk is a udisks client, which relies on libblockdev as it requires elevated privileges. disk-rs has replicated libblockdev's functionality, so now we need a Rust implementation that can handle the udisks functions to fully complete the port :P
@NostalgicKitsune https://github.com/serpent-os/disksaw
This is a PoC on gparted or gdisk alternative using disk-rs
@triskelion @NostalgicKitsune It is. We already have (nearly) all the UDisks client functions ported: https://github.com/FineFindus/udisks-rs :)
When it comes? I can't wait to see it on openSUSE Slowroll.
